Questions people actually ask

Answered plainly, including the parts that are inconvenient. If something here does not match what you see in the product, trust the product and tell us.

Is my money safe?

What escrow does, and — just as importantly — what it does not do.

What does “escrow” actually mean here?

When a trade starts, the seller’s USDT is moved out of their spendable balance and into a platform escrow account, recorded as a double-entry ledger movement, before you are shown any payment details. From that moment the seller cannot spend, withdraw or re-sell it. It is released to the buyer when the rupee payment is confirmed, or returned to the seller if the trade is cancelled or a dispute goes that way.

That is the specific risk escrow removes: the seller taking your payment and vanishing with the coin. It does not protect you from sending rupees to the wrong account, from someone talking you into a trade off-platform, or from the market moving while you wait.

What happens to my balance if the platform has an outage?

Balances are derived from an append-only double-entry ledger, not from a number in a row somebody can edit. Every movement has a matching pair of entries and a transaction id, and the ledger is reconciled against custody records. An outage stops new trades; it does not change what the ledger says you own.

Do you guarantee my funds against loss?

No, and be sceptical of anyone in this market who says otherwise. There is no deposit insurance for crypto in Pakistan. What we can tell you is what protections exist: escrow before payment details are shown, a segregated ledger, withdrawal address cooldowns, two-factor authentication on withdrawals, and a dispute process with human review. Those reduce specific risks. They are not a guarantee, and the value of USDT itself is not something we control.

Is USDT itself risky?

USDT is a token issued by a private company that says it holds reserves to keep it near one US dollar. It is not a dollar, it is not issued by any government, and its peg has wobbled before. Treat it as an asset with issuer risk, not as cash. Our risk disclosure page goes into this properly.

How long does it take?

Honest timings, including the parts we do not control.

How long does a buy or sell take?

The parts we control are fast: escrow locks in under a second, and release happens as soon as payment is confirmed. The parts we do not control set the real timing — you have a payment window (commonly 15 minutes, set by each seller and shown on the trade before you commit) to send the bank transfer, and confirmation depends on your bank or wallet.

Raast and mobile wallet transfers usually confirm within minutes. Inter-bank transfers can take longer, and can sit until the next business day if you send outside banking hours or on a public holiday. If you do not complete payment within the window the trade expires and the escrow returns to the seller.

Is on-chain settlement instant?

No, and we will not claim it is. Moving USDT on TRON requires network confirmations, which take time and occasionally take much longer when the network is congested. Deposits are credited only after the required number of confirmations.

You should also know where this platform currently stands: the chain integration runs against a live custody provider. Real USDT moves on-chain, and a withdrawal cannot be reversed once it has been broadcast. Internal balances, trades and rupee payouts are unaffected by that. We would rather tell you this plainly than let you assume otherwise.

When do the rupees reach my bank account after I sell?

A sale creates a payout to the bank or mobile account you saved. Payouts go through an approval and provider-send step, then the receiving bank credits them. Easypaisa and JazzCash are typically the quickest; bank accounts follow normal clearing times. The status of every payout is visible in your transaction history, including if it failed and why.

Verification

What we ask for, and why selling needs more than buying.

What do I need to provide?

To open an account and start buying: a verified email and phone number. To sell, or to withdraw USDT: a completed identity check — a government ID document and a selfie check, reviewed by a person. Larger volumes and some business accounts trigger enhanced due diligence, which asks about source of funds.

Why does selling require more verification than buying?

Because the two directions carry different risk. When you buy, rupees come in from a bank account that is already in your name and USDT goes to you. When you sell, rupees leave the platform to a bank account — and that is the direction used to move the proceeds of fraud. The heavier check sits where the risk is.

Practically: you can buy as soon as your email and phone are verified. Selling is blocked with a clear message until identity verification is complete, and it unblocks immediately once it is.

How long does verification take, and what if it is rejected?

Documents are reviewed by a human, so it is not instant. If a document is rejected you are told which one and why, and you can resubmit. Common causes are a blurred photo, a document that has expired, or a name that does not match the account.

What happens to my ID documents?

They are stored encrypted and are accessible only to reviewers with the specific permission to see them, and every access is written to an audit trail with the reviewer’s identity. Operational screens elsewhere in the platform show masked identifiers rather than full documents by default.

Fees

What you pay, where it is charged, and what is not included.

What are the trading fees?

Nothing. Buying and selling inside AsaanMoney is free for both sides — the person posting the offer and the person taking it. Nothing leaves the platform when two customers trade, so there is no cost to pass on. You pay only when USDT actually goes on-chain: a withdrawal costs the 1.50 USDT the TRON network charges, and none of that reaches us.

Fees are charged in USDT and are deducted from the asset side of the trade, so the amount you receive on a buy is the gross amount less the fee. The exact figure is shown on the quote before you confirm — never accept a trade whose fee you have not seen.

Fee schedules are configurable by the platform, so treat the live fee page as authoritative rather than this one.

What does it cost to withdraw?

USDT withdrawals carry a flat network fee under the current default schedule, deducted from the amount sent. The exact fee and the minimum withdrawal for the network you choose are shown before you confirm. Rupee payouts to a Pakistani bank or mobile account may carry a rail fee, which is shown on the payout.

Are there hidden spreads on the rate?

The rate you are quoted is the rate the trade is priced at, and it is locked server-side when you create the order — it cannot move under you between the quote and the confirmation. Different traders quote different rates, and the difference between the best buy and best sell rate on the book is a real cost to you, so compare before you commit.

When something goes wrong

Payments that fail, trades that stall, and how disputes work.

I paid but the seller has not released the USDT.

The USDT is already in escrow — the seller cannot take it. Mark the payment as sent in the trade, upload your bank receipt as evidence, and if it is not resolved, open a dispute from the trade. A specialist reviews both sides’ evidence and the transfer records, and can release the escrow to you.

Do not cancel the trade after you have paid. Cancelling returns the escrow to the seller.

I sent the payment to the wrong account, or the wrong amount.

Tell us immediately through the trade chat and open a dispute rather than waiting. A transfer to the wrong bank account is not something the platform can reverse — recovery depends on the receiving bank — but a mismatched amount to the correct account can usually be sorted out during review. Send the exact amount shown, and include the reference given on the trade; a payment without the reference is much harder to match.

How long does a dispute take?

It depends on how quickly both sides provide evidence. Straightforward cases with a clear bank receipt are usually decided within a day. Cases needing bank confirmation take longer. Escrow stays locked throughout — nobody gets the funds until it is decided.

Someone is asking me to trade outside the platform.

Refuse. It is the single most common way people lose money in P2P crypto in Pakistan. Outside a trade there is no escrow, no evidence trail and no dispute process, and there is nothing we can do for you afterwards. Report the account instead.

Withdrawing

Getting your money out, and the safeguards that sit in the way.

How do I withdraw USDT?

Add a withdrawal address, wait out the cooldown, then request the withdrawal. Identity verification must be complete, and if you have two-factor authentication enabled you will be asked for a code. Larger or unusual withdrawals may go to manual review before they are sent.

Why can I not use a withdrawal address straight after adding it?

A new address is unusable until a cooldown expires. It is an anti-hijack measure: if somebody gets into your account, that delay is the window in which you can notice and stop them emptying it to an address you never saw. It is inconvenient exactly once, and the day it matters it is the reason you still have your funds. Add the addresses you expect to use before you need them.

How do I withdraw rupees?

Sell USDT, and the rupees are paid out to a bank or mobile account you have saved and verified. Payout accounts must be in your own name — we will not send to a third party, which is both a regulatory requirement and the reason a compromised account cannot be drained to a stranger’s bank.

Where can I see everything that has moved?

Your transaction history shows trades, deposits, withdrawals, payouts and fees in one timeline, filterable by type and date, and exportable as a CSV — which is what you will want at tax time.

Still stuck?

If your question is about a specific trade, open it and use the chat on the trade itself — support can see the escrow, the payment evidence and the timeline there, which makes it far quicker to sort out than an email. For anything else, see the help centre, the risk disclosure, or contact us.
